Sue is from Whitchurch, with an unconventional approach to art, her choice of colours are very vibrant which gives Sue's art work a sense of childlike wonder and really captures the imagination.
From an early age Sue has always had a passion for art through certain life circumstances she wasn't always able to pursue art full time. Art is something intrinsic to Sue's nature, for that reason Sue did eventually go to college in 2000 in order to follow her passion whilst having a wider array of means in which she could develop her own style. From college Sue found a style that incorporates quirky images, vibrant colours and story telling pictures.
Sue's approach to art rooted firstly from free machining than adapting the same style through mixed media collage and stitch. Sue likes to incorporate textiles to bring more definition to pieces of her artwork.
Beginning with a loosely structured approach this gives Sue space for her creative intuition. This has led to many local exhibitions, sales, commissions and workshops over the past years. Sue's art pieces are all original; she keeps her art as a hobby to maintain an authentic and creative perspective.
Through Sue's art work she hopes to put a smile on your face!
